While everyone here is busy making nasty political ads, Bill Roggio reports that Somalia is about to fall completely into the hands of the bad guys: The Somalia Showdown.
Previously in Somalia, we saw that the Islamic Courts Union (ICU), an al-Qaeda friendly Islamic militia that imposes strict Sharia law wherever they go (aka. terrorist thugs), was busy taking over the country one city at a time. Now it appears they're encircling the last bastion of the United States-backed Transitional Federal Government (TFG) in the city of Baidoa, where Ethiopian troops are providing protection. "Peace talks" have broken down, so it looks like there's going to be some heavy fighting going on there pretty soon, and one has to wonder whether the United States will be forced into the action.
